Give to the Bethel Library Association

At the Bethel Library, we greatly appreciate the generosity of our donors. Your support enables us to serve our community effectively. Your donations directly impact the programs, services, and materials that the library can offer to patrons. While public funding covers part of our operating budget, we depend on contributions from patrons and supporters to meet the community's needs.

To make giving as simple and convenient as possible, we invite you to explore the various ways you can contribute. Please feel free to contact us if you’d like to review giving in a way that is best suited to you and your family.

Thank you for making a difference!

More Ways to Give

  • While Individual donations and our annual appeal help the library meet its current operating budget, building the Endowment Fund is vital for the Library’s financial future and helps us provide improved services to our community.

It’s easy to do, just designate “Bethel Library Association endowment general operating fund” as a beneficiary in your will or trust or designate the same as a beneficiary of your life insurance.

  • Bequests can ensure that your wishes to support the Library are honored after your death, and have the potential to reduce estate taxes. Make a bequest by naming the Library in your will or trust for either a specific amount or as a percentage of your estate. You can also accomplish this by making the Library a beneficiary on an annuity, life insurance policy, or a retirement account.

  • You can obtain an immediate tax benefit by establishing a donor advised fund through your broker or community fund and making specific grants to the library or other eligible charities over time. Contact your broker or the Maine Community Foundation for more information on Donor Advised Funds.
