Maine West Project Play Recommends: Books for Athletes, Coaches & Active Families

Whether you're training for your first 5K, coaching a youth team, cheering from the sidelines, or simply looking for your next outdoor adventure, the Bethel Library has resources to help you move, learn, and play.

These titles were suggested by Maine West Project Play (https://mainewestprojectplay.org/), to encourage healthy, lifelong participation in sports and outdoor recreation. Many of these titles are available at Bethel Library or can be requested through Maine's statewide interlibrary loan network, giving you access to millions of items from libraries across the state.

An essential training guide for trail runners, hikers, skiers, mountaineers, and endurance athletes looking to improve strength and stamina. The Bethel Library has a copy of this book.

Evidence-based nutrition and training advice designed specifically for active women and female athletes. The Bethel Library will be acquiring this book for our collection soon!
