Story Times offered at the Bethel Library

The Bethel Library is now offering two different story hours to families in the Bethel area!

We here at the library know how important it is for children to hear books and stories read aloud to them. Children become better readers when they have books read to them. Children develop their imaginations when they hear stories regularly.

Story time also encourages children to learn language skills and empathy. They learn to use words to describe feelings that are otherwise difficult and this enables them to better understand when they have challenging feelings like anger or sadness.

To support this learning and development the Bethel Library has a regular story time on Wednesdays at 10AM. We’ve been offering this story time since February 2023 and have been so pleased to welcome families and children of all ages.

Recently we’ve added a new Monday story time with Annie the greyhound. Annie’s owner reads books while children can pet and cuddle Annie. She loves the attention! Please check our event calendar for Annie’s story time dates. The next one will be held Monday September 25th.
